A designer who followed his curiosity.

I've never had a linear path. My career has been a series of leaps. From leaving engineering school in Indonesia, to founding a creative studio, to designing enterprise tools for some of Europe's biggest brands. Here's how it happened.

I stumbled into UX design in 2018 as a student in Indonesia. What started as small personal projects quickly turned into something bigger. I realized I didn't just want to make things look good, I wanted to understand why things worked.

That curiosity led me to found DoubleCut Studio, where I spent two years delivering high-fidelity design solutions for clients across gaming, tech, and entertainment. It was scrappy, fast, and I loved every second of it.

In 2021, I joined Digital Marketing based in Amsterdam, NL called Whello as a Web Design Specialist, sharpening my craft in web strategy and conversion-focused design. Shortly after, I made a leap into the gaming industry at AccelByte, where I worked on B2B tools used by studios like Sony, Capcom, Volition, and Warner Bros.

This was the turning point. Designing complex systems for game studios taught me that the best design disappears into the workflow. It doesn't demand attention, it earns trust.

In 2023, I relocated to Germany and joined Hashtag You In 2023, I joined Hashtag You in Germany as a UI/UX Designer, owning the end-to-end design process for 3 brands and running A/B tests that improved conversion rates across DACH, FR, and IT e-commerce stores. That role deepened my passion for combining design with data.

I was promoted to UI/UX Manager, mentored a junior designer, and grew the UX team from 1 to 2 people. I helped grew the UX maturity of the company by advocating user research/testing and data-informed design decisions.

Around the same time, my entrepreneurial side kicked in. I co-founded Menfess.co with 2 of my amazing friends, a social media tool that grew from zero to 6.5k MAU. Building a product from scratch while working full-time taught me more about product strategy than any course ever could.

Today, I'm a UX Designer at 8Reasons Digital, shaping enterprise products for clients like Deutsche Telekom, Porsche, E.ON, Uniper, Allianz, and Versicherungskammer. I'm also pursuing an online Master of Engineering in Engineering Management at the University of Colorado Boulder, because design alone isn't enough. I want to understand systems at every level.

I want to build things that solve real problems and bring a bit of delight into people's daily workflows.

Outside of work, I love experimenting with side projects, from Chrome extensions to AI-powered tools. I've built a Pomodoro timer that plays Lofi Girl, a tech stack analyzer, and an AI paper summarizer. I believe the best way to learn is to ship.

When I'm not on Figma, I'm traveling, creating content, sketching, or playing soccer. I'm also active in design communities and enjoy mentoring junior designers on ADPList.

I built my first WordPress site in 2012 for a class project (see it here). Since then, I've designed websites and interfaces for US and European clients across various industries.

This portfolio is built with Next.js and Tailwind CSS.

Special thanks to everyone who reviewed this site, and to all the amazing friends and colleagues who've shaped my journey along the way.
